PREFERRED TREES 

Japanese Maple (Acer Palmatum)
An airy, delicate tree. Comes in many varieties. Check local nursery for available choices.

Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia Indica)
Will take full sun - drought resistant. "Indian Tribes" varieties resistant to mildew.

Dogwoods Cornus Florida)
Pink or white

European White Birch (Betula Pendula)
Already used extensively in Chico Oaks. Note that these trees prefer protection from the afternoon sun.

Fringe Tree
Male tree (c.retusus) is preferred. Female drops pods.

Judas Tree (Cercis Occidentalis)
Also known as Redbud. Preferred in our area.

Smoke Tree (Cotinus coggygria)

Japanese Flowering Plum (Prunus Mume)
Best varieties: Dawn, Masubara

Any adding, removing or altering of plants to the common areas must first be approved by the Landscaping Committee.
